The language of SOBE Autism Research Journal (SOBEJ) is Turkish and English.

Article Types: SOBE Autism Research Journal (SOBEJ) publishes research and review articles and research articles derived from graduate theses.

Submit Article

The account of the corresponding author should be used in the submissions. All correspondence regarding the application is sent to the corresponding author via e-mail sent through the journal system.

When uploading the manuscript file, please make sure that this file does not contain any elements that will decipher the identity of the author due to the double-blind review process.

Authorship and Contribution

Authors are expected to carefully review the list and order of authors before submitting their manuscript and to provide the exact list of authors at the time of original submission. Only in exceptional cases will the editor consider the addition, deletion or reorganization of authors after the article has been submitted.

Use of Original Sources and Citation

Authors should ensure that they are writing entirely original work and, if they have used the work or words of others, that it is properly cited. Privately obtained information, such as in conversations, correspondence or discussions with third parties, must not be used without the express written permission of the source.

Data Access and Preservation

Authors may be asked to provide research data supporting their articles for editorial review and/or to comply with the journal's open data requirements. Authors should be prepared to provide public access to such data, if possible, and to retain such data for a reasonable period after publication. Our journal recommends uploading research data to TUBITAK's Aperta Portal.

Publication of Studies Based on Surveys and Interviews

Ethics committee approval must be obtained for research in all disciplines that require ethics committee approval, and this approval must be stated and documented in the article. For studies requiring ethics committee permission, information about the permission (name of the committee, date and number) should be included in the method section.

Conflict of Interest

Any financial or other interest that may cause the person to be conflicted in his or her work, significantly impair his or her objectivity, or provide an unfair advantage in favor of any person or organization. All sources of financial support received during the conduct of the research and preparation of the manuscript and the role of sponsors in the study should be explained.

Error Reporting

When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her published work, he/she should notify the journal immediately. It is also the author's obligation to cooperate in withdrawing or correcting the manuscript if deemed necessary by the editor. If the editor or publisher learns from a third party that a published work contains an error, it is the author's obligation to cooperate with the editor, including informing the editor.

Title

There should be two titles, one in Turkish and one in English. Titles should express the topic in the best way possible and the English title should be the exact equivalent of the Turkish title. The Turkish title should be capitalized, bold, horizontal, Times New Roman and 14-point font. The English title should be below the Turkish title, capitalized, horizontal, Times New Roman and 12-point font.

Author(s) Names

The names of the authors should be in Times New Roman, italicized and centered in 10 pt. under the English title. The academic title, institution, e-mail address(es), etc. of the authors should be indicated immediately below their names without abbreviation.

Abstract

After the names of the authors, three lines of space should be left, the title 'ABSTRACT ' should be written in the center, bold and capitalized, and for English texts, the title'ABSTRACT' should be written and the line below it should consist of at least 100 and at most 300 words that express the subject briefly and concisely. It should be justified, written in Times New Roman font with a font size of 10 points. A maximum of 5 keywords should be given under both abstracts. Keywords should be capitalized, justified and separated by commas. Keywords written in English should be given in the same order and number.

Full Article Text

It should be written in MS Word program, Times New Roman 10 font size, single line spacing within the text. Articles should be written in PC compatible Microsoft or any word processing program suitable for creating documents with “doc” extension. In qualitative and quantitative studies, the introduction part of the article should include the importance of the study, its aims, the problem situation and the relevant literature. In the method section, the research design, population, sample, sampling method, data collection tools, data collection process and characteristics of the participants should be explained. In the findings section, firstly, the data collected should be briefly expressed and then the findings that reveal the result of the research should be written in detail. In the discussion section, the findings should be evaluated and interpreted in the light of the literature. The results obtained as a result of the research should be explained and suggestions for further research should be included. In terms of spelling and punctuation, the Turkish Language Association's Spelling Guide should be taken as basis, except in special cases required by the article or the subject.

Article Headings

In the article, main, intermediate and subheadings can be used by numbering them according to the processing of the subject. The first letter of each word in these headings should be capitalized.

Photographs, Pictures, Tables and Graphics

The “.jpg/.tiff” extension records of photographs, plans, maps, etc. used in the text should be attached to the documents to be submitted. It should be ensured that such documents have a resolution suitable for the printing technique (at least 300 pixels) and a size that does not exceed the page area, and if there is more than one, they should be numbered and titled. (Picture 1; Map 1; Table 1, Figure 1, etc.) Tables and figures should be written in 9-point Times New Roman font. The first letter of table and figure titles should be capitalized (e.g. Table 1, Figure 1.)

Source Notation Rules

References should be given in the text with author's surname and date and should be written alphabetically at the end of the article and chronologically for the same author. APA 7 version should be used. If the source is given at the beginning of a sentence or in the text, the surname of the author should be given as İnalcık (1982), and if it is given at the end of the sentence, it should be given as (İnalcık, 1982). If there are two authors in the references, they should be cited as Erbaşı and Sağdıç (2011); if there are more than two authors, they should be cited as Erbaşı et al. (2011) according to the surname of the first author. References by the same author and published in the same year should be indicated as Erbaşı (1995a), Erbaşı (1995b), and the full bibliography of the references should be added at the end of the article.
